Bluetooth audio bad when getting text

Go to solution Solved by German_John,

Well, I think I found a solution:

disable bluetooth calling for the headphones. That did it for me. It may also be realted to the headphones I have!

Hey everyone,

I've noticed a weird issue. Whenever I get a text, the audio on my Bluetooth earphones tanks, sounds like the bitrate is super low (like you'd get when you're far away from the phone and the signal barely makes it)

What's going on there and how can I fix it?

I'm using an LG G6 and a pair of Anker SoundBuds Sport. I don't think I had the issue with my previous ZenFone 2.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT

I should mention that I normally use a pebble. It's not connected right now, but the app is running. Could that be the culprit? Because that would suck.

No I don't think it's pebbles app, I think it's had to do with notification settings, look for do not disturb settings, look for  your music player settings, on some phone there is a option to manage notification sound and media sounds check also that
