If the server is simply providing file services, there is little need for a Xeon.

At this time i'm planning to build a server but need some ideas for a server that will store only data. the one thing I'm gonig to put is Windows Server 2016 as the OS. my budget is around non-existent at the moment because i'm planning out the parts, but would preffer to keep the costs to a minimum.

 

Here are the initial parts i found

 

CPU - need help finding a cooler for cpu.

 

Motherboard

 

Memory

 

Hard Drive - Quantity 4 for starters to mirror each other

 

Case

 

also need help picking a Power Supply for this build.
