Just got a AM3b motherboard to test, and im using a 5$ post card to see on what code it doesnt post. Ive stopped on FF which means 'Flash ROM programming has been successful. Restart the system BIOS' What does this mean ? Ive tried to take out the battery and put it back in after a few minutes, using the jumper to clear the CMOS and nothing  has helped me. Does anyone know whats the deal ? The mobo is ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0, and im using a Crucial Ballistix Sport 4Gb of DDR3 ram and a unknown model of AMD FX cpu, ive also tried to put in a dual core phenom, but it didnt work.

So, can anyone please help me ? I should be a BIOS problem, yesterday i got it to post like 3 times, but sometimes it stopped with the FF code again, could my BIOS ROM be corrupted ?

[Edit]: And after posting, i know what the CPU in it is - AMD FX-8320

Is the board under warranty? It might be time to get a new motherboard, as well as a better cpu.

And yes, the BIOS is probably done for. It's hard to fix if you don't have a dual bios board, soldering skills + bios chip, or knowledge of flashing them.

Its a pretty old board and i only have it for testing, atleast for now. I have a alot better rig, but this one will be for my dads house where i dont have a PC and really dont want to take mine with me every time i go there. The board isnt a Dual Bios board, but i have soldering skills, i can order the same BIOS chip from Aliexpress or ebay or - whatever and flash it, if thats the only way out. Im still questioning, why does it sometimes work and sometimes not ?

I'm not sure why it would work sometimes and not others, but Science Studio has a video where he's troubleshooting his friend's PC; it boots up sometimes, but not others. The BIOS ended up being corrupted, but he had a dual bios, so it fixed itself.
