So my friend is sending me their old EVGA GTX 960 SSC, its the one with two fans and takes an 8 pin connector to power, my power supply has TWO 6 pin PCIE power connectors that can split up into 4 and 2 pins, NO they are NOT for the CPu, thats already plugged into the motherboard.  Will using the two connectors in their 4 pin layout to make an 8 pin connector work? or no? I know the 960 I'm getting would normally come with an adapter for this which makes the two 6 pins into an 8 pin, but my friend doesn't have that anymore and I'm broke lol

I have a PSU that has a single standalone 6 pin PCIe connector.
