Need help on water cooling

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

I would definitely avoid thermaltake if you can.

Have you looked at EK's website directly to see how much it would cost to ship?

Hello, I am thinking about doing a hardline water cooling but I have never done them before. I have been reading up on it and I really want to go with EK however in Japan they are rather uncommon or very expensive. I stumbled upon this kit on Amazon The Thermaltake Pacific RL360. I have heard a lot of negative things from Thermaltake and I am not sure if I should use this brand for a first time hardline build. Any opinion will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Yeah, dont use thermal take for the hardline kit. Check the EK online store, see how much shipping would be. In the long run, spending the bit extra will benefit greatly. Especially with this hardline build.

Alright, I will keep that in mind and that I wont go with Thermaltake in the future for cooling. I am currently using theri Water 3.0 AIO and so far its okay I guess. I will definitely go for EK. But out of curiosity, what do you guys think about the RGB fittings, I just wana give some personality to the system.

RGB fittings are just a waste and add unneeded failure points and wires to the system.

If you want to really give it some zing, look at the Primochill VUE fluid and maybe an RGB strip with UV.

I guess i will just go for EK fittings. Also I will get non conductive fluids in case I get any leaks, is that a wise choice?

Honestly, all fluid becomes conductive over time so I would just go with something that looks nice. If you don't get any leaks within the first 24 hours you're generally good, unless you're punching your case or shaking it around a lot :P

Always glad to help.

Just remember, take your time, make sure you've got plenty of extra tubing, and if you don't like how something looks save it and use it as a guide to bend it better. Get something like this as well:

The saw thing that EK provides is terrible, but the rest of the kit (the inserts and sand paper) is great.
