Linus Tech Tip : Video Description

Hi wouldn`t be Nice if Linus Media group would add in every video description what tech they are using during the video or the video review of the other item. For example in this video they compare the Sound BlasterX AE-5 to the schiit but in the description of this video they are no link to they website or this video

Extra work without any monetary gains. Nope, not happening.

It's good for their reputation and community relations with little to no effort on their part, I don't see why not. Everything is not about instant money, to run a successful business you need to have a wider perspective

The only thing LMG seems to care when writing the YouTube video description is their Amazon affiliation links since that's $$$ and that's it... It has always been something to bug me the complete lack of further input on those things.

And writing the stuff in the descript is supposed to help their reputation how?

most of their viewers only watch the video, and they made it blatantly clear most people never open their descript boxes, so doing the extra step just to please a couple of people isnt doing any good for them.

also, LTT is a business out to make a profit so the time it takes for them to make a list and write it in the descript is money because it takes time to type it.

Lets assume it takes 1 extra minute, thats still 365 minutes of wage in a year he needs to pay his staff that couldve been used on something else.

You do realize they've been linking video icons in the corner of their videos whenever they think its relevant right?

Come on man, youtube themselves already knew nobody check the descriptions, hence the reason why they put in the hyperlinking boxes in the videos.

Well, it for one shows that they are listening to their costumers, and even if only a minority of people decides to read it, I believe it's still worth that one minute since LTT relies on an active community to promote and support their forums and channel. Heck, why else would they take the effort to create this forum which only a small minority of viewers uses. One example of this is the excellent PSU ranking guide the LTT forums are semi-famous for. Also, without the good community relations, the float plane thing they created would have been a disaster
