I bought a pre-built desktop computer nearly two years ago during the holidays for $1100 CAD during the boxing day specials, before realizing a year later what a huge mistake I'd made- but that's beside the point.

Intel Core i7 4790

GTX 745 4GB
12GB DDR3 RAM
2TB HDD, Windows 10.

It's never been much of a problem as I only play games like DoTA and Counterstrike. But I was surprised to see that my computer had trouble running Shadow of Mordor even when I lowered the settings. I was told by some guy on CS;GO that my graphics card was bottlenecking my build, thoughts?

I have a bit of money in the bank if a new card is needed, and I'm open to suggestions.

I also have a GTX 650 TI BOOST (https://rog.asus.com/articles/news/asus-unveils-the-geforce-gtx-650-ti-boost-directcu-ii/) on a vista build that I use for very light gaming when I go to my mom's house. Would swapping them be beneficial?

I don't see a GPU bottleneck there, I see GTX 745s with i7-4790 CPUs all the time. I would invest in a 1050Ti or 1060 6Gb if you can stretch a bit

650 ti should be better than a 745

How much is your budget?

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
