Hey everyone, I have a small problem. Recently I've discovered that my CPU stays in 100% when an app called Windows Driver or something like this is opened(and it opens by itself), but I can close it anytime. Another problem is that I have discovered another 2 apps that utilise my CPU a little. It is about CPU utility and WebService that I cannot close, or uninstall them. I know where are located, but I can't delete them, because I can't close them and I don't have any ideea from where I have them(I didn't download anything from the internet, just from steam), the only thing being Driverpack Solution(and that is not the cause of it, because I have used it before). What should I do, because I don't want to do a fresh install of Windows, it is just the worst case scenario. I use the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 if it is needed.

simple delete apps you don't use.....and yes they can be troublesome to get rid off.

programs like driver solutions are generally only needed once.

use task manager to find apps that are using a lot of cpu usage  and ccleaner to uninstall and clear registry afterwards

What is Driverpack Solution? Sounds like a virus to me.

Nah, it is not a virus. It is a software that checks, install and updates the drivers. It is 100% safe, but it installs some apps in Russians, because they sponsor it. Anyway, from what I know it is safe.

I tried to use task manager, but every time I tried to END them, they will open again in less than a second. I will try CCcleaner to see if it works

Why would you need that? Typically windows will update your drivers for you, or you can manually update them which aside from your GPU isn't going to be more than once a year. Sounds like it's installing viruses on your machine especially if they are in russian.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Not really, Windows is still far from downloading the latest drivers. When I used it I was missing around 20 drivers,

Yeah, were you actually missing drivers or did Driverpack Solutions tell you that you were?

sometimes processes have to be ended/killed before deleting. if process wont end find process pid number(on taskmanager VIEW tab enable pid check) and use prog called pskill

I was actually missing them and believe me, I wouldn't install any driver manager without reading about it. I don't install any thing without reading about it. And my IT teacher from high school and a few family members, neighbors and friends who work in IT recommended it.

It is not working either. I kill it, but then it reappears with a diferend PID. Well, I think I am going to do a fresh install of Windows. Thank you for your answer.

its probably being call by a host service.....easier for a fresh install ....save your system 32 folder, it will have drivers on it you can use

Okay, thank you for the tip. I just hope it will fix this problem, because it is already getting on my nerves.

welcome to having a pc, they get on everyones nerves

I know this is an old thread, but I managed to fix it. I've just used a bloatware software and everything got fixed.(I should have thought of this a little sooner, but I'm a bit of an idiot :)) )
