directory showing in html.

i made a website for my classmates (homeworks etc..)

but when i open the site i see "Directory Listing" and it has all the files under it, how do i fix this? this is my first project, so im new to this..

Don't fully understand your question.  If it is showing a directory listing with all the files, then what exactly do you want it to show of not that?

HTTP servers usually serve index.html/htm/php as the root document of a folder.

Do you have a index.html? It can also be changed in httpd.conf or equivalent.

nvm, fixed it, contacted support of the hosting website
