Finally managed to get my best mate off his PS4 and into PC gaming by selling him my old PC for a fraction of the cost, however the 1050 ti it uses probably won't do so well outside of CS:GO.

He's looking to upgrade to another card so that he can play games like overwatch, rainbow 6 siege and BF1 on high/ultra settings above 50fps at least.

Are there any cards that can do this for under £300? I've heard the RX 580 is good but I'd like a second opinion.

Thanks!

1050ti will be fine unless you mean the card itself is faulty. I have a 1050ti in my system and it comfortably runs Crysis 2 so

are you kidding me? this card lets you play basically everything at medium or high 1080p

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

1050ti should be able to play all those games, why not see see first before you resort to needing to buy  a new card

I'm just looking for potential upgrades in the future. I found that the 1050 didn't play BF1 to the standard I wanted.

If he wants to upgrade in the future when he gets more demanding games I wanted to have an answer for him.

But yes I will see how the 1050 performs before recommending anything.

1050TI is a lot better then the 1050, it has more VRAM & more cores
