1,000 British pounds is about the same(give or take a few) USD, right?

Either way, in your case I'd probably aim for a lower-end MSI or mid-range Lenovo. It's harder to find good dGPUs in laptops under a pricetag of 800, so either way you'll have to shell out quite a bit

According to google it would be 1309.50 USD but with tech stuff it wouldn't translate to that many dollars

Yes I was talking about 1000 british pounds. Also MSI laptops "show off" too much for me. That was the main reason for the hp envy. Because I cant find laptops like the hp spectre or something with a dgpu

Fair point, it also depends on which MSI laptop you get, the Stealth series is fairly low profile other than the RGB keyboard

can you? o.O I will have a look straight away

Yeah, the GS-series laptops are pretty slimmed down, the only "gamery" aesthetic is the keyboard

I personally would never buy an HP (Desktop or Notebook). I have an Acer VX15 591G. It has an dedicated 1050ti Graphics card.

I found a bundle deal on Ebuyer:

https://www.ebuyer.com/802518-gigabyte-sabre-15k-cf1-gaming-laptop-bundle-sabre15k-cf1bun

This one has only 8 GB DDR4 but you could update the RAM on a later date.

Or you take pen and paper to class and build yourself a Gaming Desktop for 1000 GBP. Because Gaming Laptops tend to be pretty heavy and those which are not are out of your price range. They are even out of mine :))

For  Example you could build a PC like this for 1000 GBP. I did not include Keyboard and Mouse since they are very personal.

I am pretty sure you get tired of carrying a laptop from class to class pretty soon. You might also think of an insurance if you go for the Notebook option in case you intend it to take to College. because it does not have to be you that destroys your Notebook.  Just in case...

Thanks Kathrin. I have a desktop for gaming already. The laptop is mainly for school work and programming of games and things like that (the computers in my school are crap...) So that was the only reason and the dedicated card is just there for some light gaming sometimes if I would get bored.

Thanks for the reply though highly appreciate it.

Dear Jakub

yes now I understand much better why you need a Laptop for School. If I were you have a look a Lenovo, Acer Toshiba.... basically anything other than HP and Medion and other no name products,

HP and Compaq are not good quality. Do not invest hard earned money  (yours or your parents) in these products.

try this:

It seems once again a bit too "gamer flashy" although may consider it as it is the only laptop which has decent battery life for the "gamer" laptops
