If you can spend $10 more, you can get a 240gb samsung 850 evo... otherwise it looks good

@ScrappyZeDog is correct. At that price, you're throwing away money by purchasing the 120GB SSD. Get a 850 Evo for $99.

You can get a Seagate 2TB 7200RPM Baracudda for $7 more on Amazon. Other than that, it is a solid build.

I dont really know what you mean. Is the Z Series MOBO more useful for unlocked processors?

Motherboards like the Z series ones allow you to overclock your CPU, but they mostly come at a premium

From what I understand, the Z series supports full overclocking to go with unlocked processors. You aren't getting a lot for the Z series unless you have a K chip that is unlocked. You'd probably be better off putting that extra money into CPU, GPU, ram, or storage.

That's not so easy it boils down to what you want from that Mobo, and what kind of features you want

maybe downgrade the motherboard/get a k series chip.

maybe upgrade to that cryorig cooler everybody likes instead of the hyper 212

The green CX power supplies are known to not be very good. I'd recommend getting something cheaper / better.

Yeah, power estimation is at 304 watts, I think a 550w power supply should be fine.

You mean the C7? I havent even thought about building a computer or looked at them in about 3 years.

What resolution and framerate will you be playing at? With a $1200 budget, you can usually get a 1070 or 1080.

I forgot it's a coffee lake CPU so a Z370 mobo is needed, but changing it to a K series would not be a bad idea

1080p and i hope to get 60+ FPS on games such as BF1 etc. I want to play games such as Fallout 4, BF1, CSGO, PUBG ( I know frames are ass on this game)

Lets just say I did go for 1070. Would there be any serious bottlenecking with the 8400?

I would look at getting a psu from here. Just make sure it is either teir 1 or 2 on this list if you are willing to spend ~$60 on a psu. The SeaSonic S12G-550 and SeaSonic - FOCUS look like good choices.
