Elex after 50h

I´ve played Elex for around 50h now and since this Game gets so much undeserved Hate, i want share a bit of my Experience with it.

 

I keep it very short tho. This is mostly for People who dont know the Gothic Series. The People who know Gothic and love it can stop reading and buy it right away. I play on Hard Difficulty.

 

The first ~10hours of the Game are kind of stiff. You are a weak Nobody and you have to run away from

80% of the Enemys. Exploration is very limited at this point. It take hours to get behind the Mechanics of the Game and Combat System (which isnt that bad if you understand it)

There is no Charity in the Game, you have to earn, buy, find everything by yourself. Levelups take long and are Expensive. You realy have to choose, because there are dozens of Skills to choose from. Here the Game tops Witcher 3 by a Lightyear.

The Graphics are obvious no Witcher Level, but at no Point this bothered me.

 

When you manage to pass the slow start and the running and the dying you will be rewarded with an awesome Experience.

 

The Game realy kicks in at some Point and you can explore a huge handcrafted World, with countless secrets to find, Quests to do, laugh at rude and mature Humor.

 

A great hardcore RPG with rough Edges. It has no Cinematic Cutsences, no pewpew from Minute one. Its Oldschool to the Core and i love it :)

 

Everyone who know the Gothic Series, you will feel Home right from the Start.

havent played much gothic, but if i have to suffer through 10 hours of the game before its "gets good" then its probably not undeserved hate.

Thats not what i said. But for some People AC&Co are a better Choice.

Nice, sounds about perfect for me. Shifting to a new town for a couple months and won't have the new PC but I am taking a 2500k / gtx970 along to use. Should be enough to run this at 1080p/60 fps, right ?

Should run fine.

How is, still playing ?

 

made high king of all the tribes and one shoting once scary powerful beasts with an uber lazer yet ?

 

is it worth getting, whats the 300 hour review/final verdict ? :)

No. I just played with one tribe and will wait with my next playthrough. Verdict stay the same. Good oldschool Game with rough edges. Its not as good as Gothic2, but the soul is in it and worth it if you like Bethesda Games.

I made a mistake. I meant Pyranha Games, not Bethesda. ;)
