Nope. In the newer versions of windows they don't let this happen.

However, you can take a memory dump of RAM and then find the windows key then crack it using hashcat or John the Ripper on a separate system at a separate time.

ONLY DO THIS IF YOU OWN THE COMPUTER

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Afaik after XP. Not sure about Vista, maybe even XP has it fixed, but for sure Windows 7 and up is where they get encrypted.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Just an update. Apparently in RAM the password is unencrypted. So that's that.
