Motherboard

Go to solution Solved by Radium_Angel,

Pull the gpu off the motherboard.

set it aside.

use only the built-in one on the motherboard.

Test only using that

if you can't get it to POST, or beep, then your board sounds bad.

Hey new to the forums but i wanted to post this as a ref to diagnose a problem with my AMD socket 775 motherboard i had bought  from eBay i have searched countless forums looking for answers on fix the problem but to hardly any improvement. Before i had a post problem fixed it had hardware problem fixed it none of my ddr2 dimm ram sticks are bad my phenom 2 quad core cpu is new (was just sold from eBay as a new listing from a 99% positive seller) my HDD WD barracuda's 80-500 GB are used but still worked on a other pc (no problems reported) But to no improvement the video  has yet to pop up with any signal im using a vizio smart tv HD for video but it say's with out error (No signal system will shutdown) i tryed removing the gpu to onboard vga input but nothing i put the gpu back in (which btw has a dvi to vga adapter) and still nothing so any help with it would be very helpful

P.S my motherboard is a AMD HP dc5700 SFF socket 775. with DDR2 dimm Ram. 1.pci-e x16 2.pci 1.pci-e x1

Take out, or unplug, everything except the motherboard, 1 stick of ram, and the keyboard.

Use the onboard video to plug into the TV.

Step one, do you hear a BIOS beep upon booting up? If not, then the board is bad.

If you do, then it's trying to POST, and the TV is not picking up the video signal, ensure the TV is set to the right input.

that was one of the tips i looked at in the forums. The tv i set to rgb (the only vga setting it has) removing hardware like ram, gpu, hdd's ect. i did to test them no problems with them The system turns on fine and stay's on with no beeps no rbg flashes indicating post failure or any other failures i think the onboard video is disabled i mite have to buy a vga,hd only gpu. I do have a ATi Radeon hd4650 that im using
