Random Crashes and Errors

• Windows 10 Education 64bit
• ASUS Prime B350-Plus BIOS  ver. 0902
• AMD Ryzen 5 1600
• GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB 2x4GB 3200Mhz
• SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX480 OC
• Seasonic M12II 520 EVO 520W 80+ Bronze Fully Modular
• WD Green 120GB SSD
• WDC 320GB
• WDC 1TB

Above is the specs of my desktop.

 

When installing Fitgirls repacks, I receive CRC errors randomly. I have installed Middle Earth - Shadow of War but it crashes randomly and one time my monitor turns red.

 

My suspect here is the RAM but I checked the QVL of ASUS and it is on the list.

run  memtest on ram for about 1hr

fyi crc errors are data check errors. so could be ram or bad file

already did windows memory test and no errors found.

I only did Windows memory test. Right now, I am doing the Memtest86 if it does a better job.

you could try to lower the ram speed to 2700mhz as wendel from level1 has stated ryzen can be glitchy at 3200 speeds

the one that shows ShadowOfWar.exe as the faulting app, that is the one for the game, the rest is during the installation.

right click game select run as admin

if runs then goto folder location of the exe(use right click on shortcut and select properties should show location)

right click exe select propeties and then checkbox run as admin under compatibility

note if you got this from the internet from other than developer its likely bad from the start but to write to appdata you must be admin elevated

did you elevate to admin the installer on install if not uninstall then right click installer exe and run as admin

but again only if gsme came from trusted source(torrent site is not)

yep, did those already. I guess the game is bad from the start.

Can't find the 2700mhz speed in the BIOS. I just disabled the DOCP and now the speed is 2133.

Trying to reinstall a different game.

Reason  RAM speed. 3200Mhz made my system unstable. It is now just 2133Mhz and I can play the game smoothly and Installed a different game without any error.
