SLI Motherboard?

I’m looking to do an SLI configuration in the future but would obviously need to upgrade quite a lot of parts from an old budget rig. What would be my best bet for “low price” motherboard that would support 2 GTX 1070s, an i5-6600k, and 16gb of ram?

unless youre buying used parts, 6600k is just bad value in todays market,

and a single more powerful card > anything less in SLI

 

get a 1080ti instead of two 1070s

My main goal is to do any game I could possibly dream of (within reason) at 1440p at the highest possible settings, and I’m pretty sure a 1080ti would achieve that no?
