Shadow play?

So today i turned shadow play on couldnt figure out how to work it and turned it off.

 

But on the bottom left of my game (far cry 3) their is like a little watermark (circle with line through it) Im wondering if its shadow play, but why would it be their if shadow play is off, Can you please tell me what it is and how t remove it

When the little green circle is there that means it's recording, just read the instructions on the shadowplay control panel, it's easier than breathing.

To turn on shadowplay, open GeForce Experience and click 'shadowplay'.

After that, click on the big 'switch' to turn it on:

This will make all the buttons light up, here you can edit the recording mode, length, quality and audio preferences:

After that, you can go back to the main Experience screen to configure the recording location and hotkeys:
