I got the Asus strix z270i and it has 1cpu fan header, the AIO, and two case fans headers.

So I can only have 2 case fans? how do I connect more? am I only suppouse to use 2 case fans?

Does someone know a NXZT s340 alike case (little cheaper, window but with cd readear capability)

THANKS A LOT!

Buy a fan controller, but I feel like there should be more than just 3 total fan headers.

I have the same motherboard, I just grabbed a couple of pwm fan splitters pretty cheap, much less expensive and more compact then adding a fan controller. However, you won't be able to control the fans independently as they will all be wired to the same header on the motherboard. Also, I am pretty sure that motherboard only has one case fan header.

oh no this is so complicated, only 1 case fan header and what are the others for? which fan contorller do you have? how many fans per fan header can I use?

well one is a case fan header, that's the one you're supposed to plug the case fan into, the other is a cpu fan header, which is for the fan attached to the cpu cooler, and the last one is an AIO fan header. You could use the aio fan header for a case fan if you want. However, what I did was bought a fan splitter, not a fan controller. Here are two different ones: https://www.amazon.com/JBtek-Black-Sleeved-Splitter-Computer/dp/B01GZPEQW6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1509410255&sr=8-4&keywords=pwm+fan+splitter

https://www.amazon.com/Phobya-3-Way-Splitter-Single-Connection/dp/B004CLFOK4/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1509410255&sr=8-7&keywords=pwm+fan+splitter this basically lets you plug multiple fans into one header, while a fan controller needs to be hooked up via USB port on the motherboard and allows you to control the fans connected to it. However, these aren't as practical in small form factor builds and are more expensive.

it's because its an itx motherboard, they usually only have 3 total fan headers

So lets say I get the NXZT s340 case then I can put 2 fans in the front of the case conected to the spliter then the liquid master lite conected to the cpu fan and the AIO and that´s it? or I sould go all the way and put 3 fans in the front?

You are fine with 2 intake and AIO as exhaust. You can always add fans later. I would say get PWM 3-way splitters now already. Or powered PWM hub. You can connect 3 fans safely to all mobo fan headers and more than 4 when hub uses external power.
