I'm building my first PC I've had a couple of pre-built PC's I got from dell and other places like that but all of my friends have gone from console gaming to PC so I'm in need of a better PC. I have some knowledge about PCs but not much which is why I am here.

I have a budget of $1300 USD and can go about $200 over. Like I said above I want it for gaming and some light school work, a.e. word, web browsing, some coding. My friends mainly play league of legends, rocket league, but they want to start playing bit more serious games like GTA, Destiny, and Call of Duty once I get my PC. So I would like something that could run all those things. I would like to have multiple monitors I have two monitors already so that doesn't need to be a factor in the budget, along with mouse and keyboard. The only thing I will need is a copy of Windows. I have a parts list from a subreddit I found when researching this but like I said I don't really know much since this is my first time building a PC.

This is the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PKprkT

If there's something better that what I have by all means let me know or if there's something I can do to improve the list also let me know.

Thanks,

AlePala

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QGf86X. Maybe wait for 1070 TIs to come out, since an overclocked 1070 TI will be close to 1080 performance, and be cheaper

build looks nice maybe go for a little higher wattage psu if you ever want to do sli. maybe you can save that 90$ on that windows key. if you didn't know you can activate windows 10 with a windows 7 or 8 key as well. if you have like an old laptop laying around with a product key sticker still on it.

The i5 7600k is old. You can get better cpus these days for the same cash. That gpu is not the best for the money, and it's cooler is not great either. That ssd is also pretty crap. I'll leave this open to others to help, but my suggestion would be:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nVccJV

Now bear in mind that the 1070 Ti is new and PCPP doesn't have all the prices filled in, however it should be about 450-500 USD.

Also feel free to change the RAM out, just remember that you'll want 3000mhz ram if you go with ryzen because ryzen likes fast RAM.

And there should be enough budget headroom for a 500GB version of the 850 evo.

HEADS UP, THIS ACCOUNT IS INACTIVE NOW

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

^ what he said

no need to pay for windows, save the money

upgrade with 7/8/8.1 key

or get it legit & free straight from Microsoft via their accessibility website

&quote " If you use assistive technologies, you can upgrade to Windows 10 at no cost as Microsoft continues our efforts to improve the Windows 10 experience for people who use these technologies. Please take advantage of this offer before it expires on December 31, 2017."

Sweet thanks to everyone for the advice I think I'm going to go with this build I like it and I like the price for it. Also I found an old copy of windows 7 so I can upgrade it for free.

Are you doing it via the accessibility thing? Last I heard was that the offer had expired for Windows 7 users and the only way to get it was through the accessibility user's program.
