I found a lot of ddr2 ECC ram in a skip and it does not fit my standard ddr2 motherboard?

the model number is: samsung pc2-5300f-555-11-B0

Any knowledge about what it is and any board that it would work in would be great. It would just seemed a wast to throw it away if i can buy a cheap board and setup a small home server with it.

thanks for any help :)

Your RAM is server only RAM, which means you need to use it in a server motherboard, not a desktop motherboard.

Not 100% sure myself but this video might help:
