Hello,

I am learning some things about bitcoin and i found that to mine bitcoin is necessary a good rig witch comes with a lot of power consumption. With that, the electrical bill will increase and at some point the profit of mining is not worth it. Post that, I wonder if is possible to create a rig with some laptop and solar panels that increases the effecienty.

Thank you

Thank you

So, to mine Bitcoins specifically, you need an ASIC device - which is a purpose built computing device that specifically works with the BTC algorithm. BTC has long since been too difficult to mine using computer hardware (You're literally years too late). You would never make back your investment on a computer, let alone break even for electricity.

With that in mind, there are "Alt coins", which are also cryptocurrency, just different kinds. Some of them are still good for some GPU mining.

I would advise you to do a lot more research, because you're definitely not ready to start mining.

Lastly: Mining on a laptop is basically a waste of time (unless that laptop is controlling an ASIC miner - in which case, there are far less power hungry host computers, such as a RaspberryPi, that would be better). Using Solar power isn't necessarily a bad thing, but investing in the solar panels themselves need to be factored into any type of return you're expecting.
