Ram issues

My friends computer recognizes that i have 8 gigs in the portion of task manager but also says 4 gigs where the graph is of what im using, it will not use the other 4 gigs of ram

Are you using Windows 32 bit or 64 bit?

how would i do that? he has a pny 1060 btw

You should be able to do Windows home button, settings, system, about, advanced system settings, and find it from there.

not quite sure what you mean i found where you were talking about but im not finding anything about memory

It seems that in bios the system is only recognizing 4 gbs but in windows it does recognize 8 gb

I was able to confirm both sticks work fine in my pc
