Need some help.  I have recently put together a1800x Ryzen build with Asus Crosshair Hero.  I have a lot of I/O USB connections and have been having problems with them disconnecting.  It frustrating and am now thinking about going to the Intel i7 8700K when it becomes more available. I got the processor off eBay so I didn't pay retail, but the 8700K prices on email are more than retail.  I keep seeing video's where the 8700K is outperforming the 1800X in benchmarks and games.  I mostly use my computer for FTP server, some photoshop, and gaming.  I know heat is an issue with the 8700K, but I have a NZXT Kraken AIO X62 280MM.  Am I just being picky, or should I sell off my board and processor and get the 8700K.  I would be spending an extra $100 for the increased performance.

I would get an 8700K, Intel's single-threaded performance is better than AMD's

I almost feel bad because I do believe Intel only gave us the 8700K because of AMD,  but  I cant get the 1800X past 3.9GHZ with safe voltage and I get lots of errors when I try to overclock my ram past 3466.  Then again, what if Intel decides to make everyone buy new motherboards again while AMD says they will support the AM4 socket for years.
