Is it possible?
If we disregard the energy shielding, physical enhancements (strength, speed, reflexes, etc.), and power source, then sure. A lot of the details from Halo are either hard to quantify (computer that can run a shipboard AI, for instance) or technobabble, but with current technology we could R&D the shit out of whatever-carbon-weave-metamaterial for the undersuit, make the plating of some variation of titanium, fit in our most badass (integrated) computer and all the bells and whistles (sensors, radios, etc.), and maybe even implement some sort of rigid skeleton so a human could possibly walk around in it for the probably decent amount of time the battery lasts.
If we consider the power source, we might be able to do that soon, but in order to miniaturize fusion power we need fusion power.
If we consider the physical enhancements, uh... We might be able to make good powered exoskeletons in the near future, especially once we have good small power sources, but we won't be able to do better than brute force (at the cost of speed and agility) for a while.
If we consider energy shielding, I'll let you know as soon as we come up with a way to project a field of +1 bullet-stopping.
Even then, though, we'd have to have some really clever engineering to make something quite as robust and complete as the suit from Halo. It really doesn't sound all that far-fetched to me that we'd be making something like that in 2550.
