X99 CPU ?

Hi all, getting an asus deluxe x99 off a friend who had a 6950x, after turning off his pc the thing wil not post, we know it’s the board coz he got another motherboard for his 6950x and all boots ok, I need a cheap cpu for it to test it and then maybe a decent or good cpu after it works( if it works that is) ? 

I7 7700K @5.0ghz, Asus Z270-P, Corsair H115i, hyperX 16gb, Asus duel 1070, Nzxt H440

try ebay .... those high end (enthousiast) cpu are really expensive. You might try your local computer shop, they can make the diagnostic for cheaper than buying a cpu ...

I’m not to fussed if it works or not seeing how I didn’t even pay nothink for it, I don’t mind useing a little to get a cpu to test it, I would stick it bk on eBay if the motherboard didn’t work, I’m not looking for a top end one I need a cheap one and one maybe 8 core cpu
