corsair m65 pro Mouse lag when dragging windows

I seem to be getting lag when i drag windows around on the desktop with my corsair m65 pro, only really noticed it with google chrome and Microsoft office products.

 

The mouse works absolutely fine when doing anything else but when dragging windows around there seems to be massive input lag. I've tried fiddling around with corsair utility engine settings and running it in compatibility mode but nothing seems to have worked. Tried a corsair Harpoon RGB and still run into the same problem.

 

Just curious if any one has had similar problems and how i could go about solving this?

 

In case its important:

CPU - i5-3570

Motherboard - p8z77 v-lx

RAM - 16Gb ddr3

Graphics card - GTX 980Ti

Go into the Mouse settings and see if there are any issues

 

Start Menu>Search>Mouse Settings>Additional Mouse Settings.

However, the previous mouse i had worked perfectly fine and none of the settings have been changed and still look normal so I would have to assume it is a corsair related issue. Its really strange though as it only seems to be with certain programs

Does the issue stick around if you remove all of the software for the mouse and have it running just as a standard HID mouse (using microsoft driver)?

 

My first thought was that it might be an issue with your graphics drivers, some windows will be drawn using hardware acceleration, like Chrome, and if software rendering is taking place instead redrawing might take ages and result in slow/choppy window movements.

 

Edit: On second thoughts, does the software include some kind of "dynamic dpi" setting? I know my partners Razer software has an option for this, where if you hold down a mouse button the dpi of the mouse goes down - designed for fps games where high dpi when zoomed os unwanted.
