Hey everyone,

So, I have a Corsair Air 240 which supports both mATX and ITX. I've been looking to build a Ryzen 5 1600 system and from my research it seems that mATX has yet to receive any proper love? It seems most motherboards are low and midrange? Though ITX seems to be a bit better, which I find extremely odd.

Anyway, I don't care if I go mATX or ITX, I found the new Asus x370 ROG ITX intriguing. Would you anyone recommend an mATX motherboard or should I wait for the new Asus ITX ones?

Cheers

The ITX boards for Ryzen are currently better than mATX ones, but for R5 1600 its fine.

The Asus TUF B350M Plus is pretty good, but has awful yellow color.

or you can go for ASRock B350 ITX? is it good?

That one does look pretty good, my main caveat with all AM4s mATX mobos is using Realtek for networking, always had better results with Intel but I don't know how they fare these days.

I have no experience with realtek lan on AM4 sadly. I always had intel except on my old ZH77-G41 which had realtek (i think) and it was garbage.

I think the X370-I would be the best choice even tho you're giving up some thingies.

It has addresable RGB header, that would be important for me xD

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. I honestly don't care for RGB haha :D

You know what I may actually go ATX I've found VERY small cases actually, almost identical to my Corsair Air 240. My issue is space hence me wanting to keep either my case or go full on to an ITX. But from today's offerings it does seem way more viable from what I gathered:

Reference:聽

  • Corsair Carbide Air 240 - Dimensions (H x W x D): 320聽x 260 x 397 mm - 5.6KG

ATX:

  • Jonsbo U4 - Dimensions (H x W x D): 428 x 205 x 340 mm - 4.8KG
  • Jonsbo RM2S - Dimensions (H x W x D): 354 x 209 x 302 mm - 2.6KG
  • Jonsbo RM3 - Dimensions (H x W x D): 385 x 215 x 336 mm聽
  • Raijintek Thetis - Dimensions (H x W x D): 366 x 210 x 360 mm

ITX:

  • Jonsbo U1 Plus - Dimensions (H x W x D): 320 x 170 x 220 mm - 2.7KG
  • Jonsbo U2 - Dimensions (H x W x D): 331 x 208 x 233 mm - 2KG
  • Jonsbo UMX1 Plus - Dimensions (H x W x D): 345 x 160 x 300 mm - 3.2KG
