Well, this discussion is about an easier way to handle an issue i constantly run into every weekend. I have a main gaming rig which is my usual thing i game on but i also have a gaming laptop that i every weekend bring over to friends so i can game with them without dragging the heavy tower case with. My issue is the fact that everytime i boot up my laptop for the first time since the last weekend windows defender wants to run a background scan, windows wants to update, navidia has changed something or other and wants to update. Its getting rather annoying that it has to do this and prevents us from playing any games for the next 15 minutes while they wait for my laptop to get through these problems. Anyone have any tips on handling this easier? on the weekdays i usually have it asleep on my desk which it has internet so i was wondering if there are any programs i could download that could do all these updates and scans while it's asleep so it doesn't have to take up time when i need it.
