downloaded files into uplay issue

Hi guys,

 

I recently did a reformat of my PC and I copied all of my games onto an external HDD so I wouldn't have to download them all again. After the reformat the steam games all imported properly the origin games did (appart from bf4.. it decided to delete itself ) but I have no idea how to import the uPlay game files in. It keeps requesting me to download them again. I've changed the download and install path to the location where i want them and placed the previously downloaded files into that location but it just doesn't seem to want to work, it just keeps asking to download again. 

If someone knows of a fix for this than please let me know as I would rather not have to download 30gb again.. I have checked online but I have been unable to find anything useful so far.
