I need help

tzctics

Hi im here because some of the games i play like pubg or bo3 get really bad fps. I usually get about 20-35 fps. Then when i check task manager it says that my maximum speed is 0.79 ghz. My computer is an i5 - 6500 (stock cooler) and a gtx 1060 6gb, also 8 gigs of ddr4 ram and a sandisk ssd. Please help me.0

If you are tabbing out to check your Task Manager settings it is no longer rendering the game. So your speeds will be lower then. I would suggest using Nvidia Geforce Experience to be able to optimize the settings on your game and trying that work. The GTX 1060 while being a good card is still a Medium/high setting card on 1080P So I would suggest checking to make sure your games are adjusted accordingly.

no i ran task manager on a different screen then what i run games on. But also why is it only running at 0.79 ghz if it is clocked at 3.2 ghz. And i have used the nvidia geforce experience to optimize the settings. But thnks Axeonelite

run another program like HWmonitor because task manager can lie you.

No, no and no. A 1060 6gb should easily do high/ultra for PUBG. I had almost the exact same setup and got 50-70 fps. My only differences was 16gb ram and a 7500.

does it always sit at 0.79ghz, or does it actually run faster at times, even outside games, as it could be an errror or something run making it run at min freq

Don't come at me with "No No No." without giving better information. When it comes to my information I would giving a generalization and never mentioned specific games in my information.  My information was still valid. Don't say it's invalid just because it doesn't match your use case.
