Steelseries 7h cable

So as ya'll might know, the steelseries 7h is a really good headset. From build quality, sound, sharpness, bass to everything. Plus the fact that they're relatively cheap now as I just picked up a used one for 25$. The thing is that my cable broke and I only hear sound from the left earcup now unless I wiggle and keep holding the cable. After a bit of research, I got to know that this problem is a manufacturing one but couldn't find a fix or anything. So I was thinking that because the cable attaches to the headset via a MicoUSB port on the headset, is there a way I could use the headset via USB? as in using a classic microusb cable that's used for phones. I might need special drivers but any help would be appreciated, thanks :)
