How Much Will It Take?

Im going to be buying a gtx 780, or a r9 290 in the near future. And i was wondering about how much rad i would need to cool the cards along with a CPU.

As of right now im using a 3x140mm rad its the Alphacool UT60. Will that be enough? or should i add some more?

-Thanks

You should be fine with that

Cpu: Intel i7 4770k @4.4 Ghz | Case: Corsair 350D | Motherbord: Z87 Gryphon | Ram: dominator platinum 4X4 1866 | Video Card: SLI GTX 980 Ti | Power Supply: Seasonic 1000 platinum | Monitor: ACER XB270HU | Keyboard: RK-9100 | Mouse: R.A.T. 7 | Headset : HD 8 DJ | Watercooled

depending on what you are comfortable on temperatures and fan noise, it's

pretty close. overclock on CPU and/or GPU will determine a lot of the need.

i found that a general 360x 60 could hold a CPU/GPU overclocked, but the

fans would deffo be a concern on noise output.

I like a quite system, so maybe ill pick up another rad. Im most likely going to be overclocking the cpu to 4.2 GHz (its 3770k) So that will probably get hot. then if i get a r9 290 that also will get VERY hot...

Would an extra 2 x 120mm radiator work fine? Or should i just buy another 3x140mm? cause I got the room.

the 240 will be sufficient. before buying another radiator, try it and decide.

at least you have options before having issues without any backup/optional plans.
