matrix 7970 BURN FAIL

Go to solution Solved by Joachim,

Probably a driver issue . Best thing you can do is Re-Flash the BIOS of the 7970 , After that Update the latest  NON-BETA Catalysist drivers. If that doesn't help Try to RMA the card.

ty. I fixed the issu. I deleted the drivers (video adapter/pci slott drivers)in windows safe mode, and now everything is fine

have i destroyed my card???????

i have som oc profiles stored on GPU tweek and one of them was working realy good for me, so i decided to do a burn.

Now It lodes the windows loggin page, i loggin and the screen goes blured! cant se a thing :(

Your card is dead, same thing happened to my GTX 480, but my 480 lasted just short of 4 years at very high clocks.

I am sure you mean 290?

There is no 290 Matrix, only the 7970 and 280X.

Put the 7970 matrix into safe mode, there should be a safe mode button next to the fan control buttons.

like other members have suggested, try stock clocks - that might fix it

when fixing computers, its a game of trial and error :)
