Would this fit alright?

You're right about the cooler clearance. :~}. I was pretty bummed that even with the Universal, I still had clearance issues; I could still slot my card, so oh well.
How would the clearance be? You can see how close I'm cutting it with the RAM, and I'm worried about how close it'd be to the exhaust fan, as well.

Oh yeah, and what thermal paste did you use with your NH-D15?

arctic silver 5 cross method  ( pea or spreading gives me 5*C worse performance )

first slot in the mobo is always a close call with bulky coolers,  same for the nh-d15 however ram is no concern anymore with nh-d15

Have a Cryorig H5 Universal, but am getting 80 degrees with my 7700K in even the lowest ends of games, with every fan in my computer on full blast. Because of this, I'm thinking of getting a radiator instead. Here's the interior of my computer: I removed the front bays because I initially planned on getting a radiator, but then figured that air cooling would be enough. Fan at bottom blows upwards, grill fans are intake, rear fan is exhaust.

My case is a Fractal Design R5 (no window).

Let me know where I should put the radiator, which radiator you think I should get (and which fans, if I should get any for it), and anything else you might suggest for me.

Thanks. <3

Why is your graphics card so low down. You should use the top 16x slot for the best performance. Your card might be running at a lower speed if its plugged into a lower slot.

If it's because your cooler is too big, then maybe mount it horizontally. Though you might get RAM clearance issues. So Yea I would get an AIO Liquid cooler like the h100i or something, any decent brand should be good. A single radiator like the h60 will just about cool that chip. But leaves no room for overclocking and will run it a little warm, ~60-65 If i were to guess. A Double radiator like the H100i would be better and would give you plenty of room to overclock., You could fit it in the front, you might get some problems mounting a double 120 or 140 rad at the top because of that VRM heatsink. I dont know, I have never had a R5. You should be fine at the front though.

that second slot is a 16x pci-e 3.0 slot :)

probably put it in there for cpu cooler clearance

also AIOS suck quite badly, if he wants good performance he should just go with a noctua nh-d15 ( had 15-20*C improvement going from aio to nh-d15 , against h100 and h80i )

nh-d15 is the best choice if u want performance :v

Alright, awesome! Sounds good. Thanks for the help and suggestions: My computer is the first one I've built myself, so I'm still iffy on how everything fits together. :~}
