Mini Display Port preformance

Hey everyone. So I bought myself a new monitor Acer XF240YU. It came with a Display port and HDMI cable. I have GTX 980 from Palit, it has dvi / mini display port and mini hdmi. If I get an adapter from DP to mini DP, will this result in preformance drop? For now I have it connected through DVI cable which supports 60hz only. Thanks.

By simple logic. Smaller port (mini), less performance. Sorry for stupid question
