ZTE Axon 7 Discontinued??

I just recently purchased the Axon 7  from Amazon but reluctantly had to settle for the gamble of a damaged package, however big the damage is I have yet to see. Pray the contents are perfectly fine, should be brand new though. Now after I did that I went to ZTE's website, it's sold out there... I started a live chat with a representative, I asked if they are discontinuing the Axon 7. They replied "It's hard to say". If they are. WHY??? From what I have seen the Axon 7  is one of their top selling phones! Why would they discontinue the best phone they have! Opinions welcome!~
