Any DisplayPort cable will work as they're not subject to "versions" like GPUs and monitors are, the cables are all the same (with the exception of RBR - Reduced Bit Rate - cables, which will be labelled as such).

There are no DP 1.2, 1.3 etc. cables, unless they are RBR, they'll support all current DP revisions. Just don't go for the cheapest of cables you can find, go for something in the middle. If you're in the US, consider looking at Monoprice cables, they do a good job of providing quality while keeping price down. Ignore any DP 1.2 or such labelling, it's either done for marketing or by someone listing it without knowing it doesn't have a DP revision.

DisplayPort devices are the things that have versions, it doesn't come from the cable.

Use one of the cables listed here:

Not to burden you with to much, but could you please find a 4 foot or longer display port cable that can do 2560x1440p and 144hz

Thanks

Any of them. All would do 8K no problem if you had the GPU and monitor to support DP 1.4. Those cables are good for all current DP revisions, which will include 1440p at 144Hz.
