Hi I am a student , i am going to build a new pc for university 

I check some post but i still have some question 

 

i am going to have gtx 1080 or 1080ti for graphics and i heard ryzen have pretty good performance so

 

Should i have r7-1700 or 1800 + x370 or r5 cpu + b350 +some extra stuff like bigger or faster ssd

My friend is having R5-1400+B350 MOBO for his rig , actually it depend on your budget .

X370 have sli or cf function an better cpu oc ability , i think you may not use these function

Btw my friends rig is below you can have a look 

 

cpu r5-1400

mobo MSI b350 tomahawk plus 

ram gskill flare x 3200 8g*2

gpu strix gtx 1080

Maybe you can get r5-1600 if it in you budget range, my friend pick 1400 because he cost too much on gpu

A GTX 1080 is overkill for such a low resolution?

 

If you want the most for your money, check out the HP Z800, or Z820, depending on your budget.  If you want a GTX 1080 in it, you may need the 1250W PSU rather than the 850W.
