Hello!

I recently bought a celeron g3930 processor and I have a z170-e motherboard. Will they work? and if no, are there any way to make it work without buying a new motherboard?

Make sure you have the most current bios update and it should work.

You need to be able to boot the motherboard.

So I need to put in a cpu that will work and start it up and then dowload everything. And when thats done I can move the clerion one in?

Correct.  In order to update the BIOS you need to be able to get to either the operating system or the Bios with a CPU installed.  Good Luck!

Take a Skylake chip to the 170 board, update BIOS
