Hi Everyone,

Good day. I just want to ask an advice.

Here's my issue - my PC freezes / lags like around 3 to 5 seconds when opening Word Pad. :(

Other softwares are working just fine.

Here's my PC spec :

OS : Windows 10

CPU : Intel 7700K

RAM : G.Skill 32GB Trident-Z

Board : Asus ROG Maximus Code

SSD : Plextor M.2

PSU : Seasonic Prime 700W

GPU : Nvidia GTX 1070 FE

I also tried to boot in Safe Mode but still gets the same issue.

What could be the issue?

Looking forward for a fix.

Thanks!

Nevermind -- Didn't catch the part where it was only on wordpad, and suggested a systemwide fix.

have you run your antivirus? have you run a spybot scanner? could you have dust in your case/ on your pc stuff (if you have animals)? or if you run ccleaner/ defrag, you could check if you have files that slow down your pc and slow down notepad.

1. Yes, I tried to scan and disable my anti-virus

2. I haven't tried SpyBot

3. No excessive dust, yet.

4. I tried CCleaner

None of them worked. :(

try spybot search and destroy. works for most antivirus, but dont try it if you are using bit defender. OH yes, and how long have you had the pc? If the copy has been around for a while, or if you have done any major updates to your computer. like for me, when i got my 1060. When I swapped out the graphics cards, everything was slower, so I had to reinstall windows.

Also, check if you are getting enough power to your pc. That could be an issue.

Alright, I'll try SpyBot and get back here. Thanks!
