Server Motherboard Help

Go to solution Solved by m0k,

motherboards meant for blades are completely different from other rackmount style servers

blades are usually packed into large clusters for mostly CPU and RAM tasks.

a single blade server is not  meant to run independently with a mouse and keyboard which is why you dont see any drive options etc.

So I found a pair of Xeon x5355s on ebay for 11$ and I decided to try out a server/workstation budget build. The motherboard showed up today, and I'm a little bit worried: It has no connectors that I recognize. When I try to look up spec sheets, I find nothing helpful, so I'm coming here for help. I would like to know what power supply I would need to buy to power everything, given that it really seems non-standard, what kind of drives I would be able to run, and where/how to plug them in. I've built two gaming pcs so far in the last two years, so I'm pretty familiar with all the necessary hardware and quirks, but this seemed really different.

The board is a FW895 Dell PowerEdge 1955 Socket LGA 771 Blade motherboard.

This is also my first post on the forum, despite being a lurker for a while, so if this is in the wrong place or if I've made any other mistakes please don't hesitate to let me know!

Thanks!
