Hey guys, i from bolivia. i text you for help with my render time in Adobe AE.

Let me tell you whats happen......im working for a bank, ande they send us a lot of photos to make a video for them, soo, we buy a composition in AF, (that is we usually do) with a lot of layers and effects.

soo everything is fine, but when time to render is coming, for a 3 min render its take like 5 hours!! . thats too much for us:

Hardware we have its this:

Ryzen 7 1700 OC at 3.5 Ghz

16 GB DDR4 RAM LPX 3200mhz

120 GB SSD

1.5 tb HDD

GTX 1060 6GB

All proyect is on this PC, CUDA aceleration is on in every Adobe program we have. My CPU usage its about 20%, How can i Improve it to reach high?

Soo the question is: Can u help me to reduce my render time

CUDA acceleration utilizes both CPU & GPU, in this situation turn it off to fully use your CPU as a GTX 1060 isn't exactly designed for this job. You'd have higher chances with a GTX 1080 or a Quadro card

Why wouldn't you want to at least use both the CPU and GPU?

i7-4790k | MSI Z97 GAMING-5 | Corsair Vengeance 16 GB | Samsung EVO-850 250GB SSD & WD blue 1 TB HDD | EVGA 1070 SC | Red NZXT H440 | Cooler Master G650W

I know, but here in Bolivia theres no exist Quadro cards, i bought one since 4 years past, the Quadro 4000, this one i have to pay more to amazon to bring us here in Boliva.

but for the money i dont no exactly how much a GPU can help at this work

The reason being is that a GTX 1060 as good as it is for gaming wouldn't have a huge amount of cuda cores for After effects to realistically take advantage of, like it would help in general to have it there but the program may be favoring the GPU over the CPU in this rendering situation. So to rule that out and see what happens I would specify CPU to see if it makes it quicker.
