In need of a $1300 build

Go to solution Solved by phongle123,

8700k or bust. Literally best bang for your buck right now. For both gaming and productivity. But right now they are all out of stock. But if you waited and got it for retail price, I'd say you could easily but if you waited for sales you could do a 8700k + 1080. Maybe even 1080Ti if you really go barebones on other components. But I'll let others chime in with a PCPartPicker link.

It would be nice to get help on a build that is 1300 dollars or less for a tower and then 200 dollars for a monitor.

What country do you live in, and what will you do with the PC?

This helps but only with two components.

Yes those are the 2 main components that matter. The other components can literally be anything you find for cheap/on sale. I'd suggest a 550W EVGA G3 for the PSU however, I've seen those go on sale for 50$, 70-20Rebate a few months ago.

As for a CPU Cooler, you'll have to ask yourself, do you like the look of an AIO or a beefy Air Cooler?

I'd wait for Coffee Lake to drop in price.

Because now, the price is rather insane.

But if you can save an extra $500, check this out... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JMHKzM

I'm assuming a $1500 budget for the PC and monitor? A good monitor will last for last for a while, so spending a little extra on it is worth it, imo. I highly suggest saving up the ~$100 to get a 1080. And the 1070 Ti is supposed to come out soon, so get that one if possible. Though, you'll want a new list if you decide to wait.

At that kind of budget I'd be aiming for 2560x1440 at 60 fps, with a 27 inch IPS panel and a 1080.
