Star Wars Battlefront I (the original from 2004)

NixieFreak
Go to solution Solved by NixieFreak,

By the way, I just realized there is an active community over here: http://www.swbfgamers.com/

Hello friends,

With the recent hype around Star Wars Battlefront II and the open beta being out, I remembered the first Battlefront from 2004. I really loved it, and I played it up till a year ago on my old machine. Unfortunately, the system bit the dust and the hard drive that had Battlefront installed on it has been damaged. I also no longer have the CD...

So, do you guys know where to purchase this game digitally? I'd rather want to avoid buying the original CD-based game, because my new computer does not even have an optical drive anymore.

Cheers
Jens

Thanks, I know that there is the Battlefront II from 2005 on Steam. But I am specifically looking for the first one from 2004. :)

I like it much more, I just think the maps are better. Sure, the game modes are not that well developed, but there is just so much nostalgia connected with that game for me. Plus, modding was amazing. Almost no support, so we had to come up with all kinds of workarounds...

Wow I might be lucky. I found the folder on one very old and dusty hard drive. It's quite amazing, a full game back then was only 3GB.

You will get DRM version of it? Why do need steam key? You can play multiplayer, doesn't matter if it GOG or steam version as it cross version.

i like to have my digital games in one place, or else it become easy to forget about/lose after a while.

Wouldn't you rather have DRM free? It just have save the account login details in your password manager and when you need it again, login in GOG and download again or save the link.

Imagine steam shut downs or the game is removed from steam and also your library?
