How to lock CPU frequency

CPU: i5-3570 (non-k)

Motherboard: Asus H61M-PLUS (Latest Bios)

 

I want to lock the frequency to 3.8Ghz. However, not only do I completely ignore hot to do that, I'm unsure if I can even lock the frequency to 3.8Ghz because of my current chip-set. Hence me posting this.

thats not an overclockable chip so regardless of your motherboard im going to say no

You're essentially performing an instructed guess. Which isn't really what I'm looking for. I don't want to be mean or anything, especially since I'm thinking the same thing, but I'm looking for a true answer.

your asking if you can overclock a non overclockable chip so no you can lock your processor to a specific frequency. you can change your base clock to give you a slight overclock but you will not be able to get to 3.8Ghz. is that better????
