for a build in a small case like the prodigy should i go with a closed loop cooler or an aircooler that fits 
im asking because there's probably gonna be limited airflow in such a small case

You could totes fit a H80i in on of the top fan slots; a H100i might even work if you don't care about an optical drive.

to make it easy, yes, the H100 would be the easiest solution, if no ODD is needed (then

could use an external USB ODD). some of the prodigy/phenom cases are limited on

air-flow just from the aesthetics of the front panel or air inlet designs. black prodigy is

best on air-cooling others are mainly liquid cooling (less air-flow). but an item to remember

the liquid cooling needs air-flow too..
