im using a DVI-D dual link male to Hdmi adapter to connect my ps3 to a HP lp3065 2560x1600 and all i see is a black screen and the led green light blinking ive tried 2 different hdmi cable but that didnt work and tried another monitor (1600x900) which worked so i need help making it work here

once had the same issue i just had it on vga port while trying to run off hdmi HAHA

it is i unplugged every other thing but that. i think it's the resolution problem

ps3 does the same thing tho :v

 

what u can try is

 

boot it with the monitor that works, set in the settings video forced to 720p instead of automatic for example then connect the monitor u wanna run

If I'm remembering correctly.  Make sure you system is completely powered down.  Connect your cables and press and hold the power button plus the Eject button on your system when booting it up.  It should do a manual reset of the resolution settings for the PS3.  Had to do it plenty of times with my original fat boy ps3 when taking it from my Semi to hotel rooms then back home.

didnt work but that how i got it to work on my other monitor
