So ever since I've had my laptop (Asus Gl552VW-DH71) it has had this one weird, and mildly infuriating issue that I just can't figure out how to fix without reinstalling windows (not an option for now)

What happens is that if I choose to restart the computer, after the Asus bios screen, when windows login screen occurs it will have a weird purple Color that shifts shades and rapidly flashes, only at the bottom of the screen. I took an image and it's uploaded here.

Then as long as I hit the restart button, it will happen again and again.

I fix it by shutting off the system, waiting 30 seconds, then returning it on.

Something about windows restarting too quickly is causing this issue, but I just can't figure out what.

At first I thought maybe hard drive? But then I got an m.2 SSD (Crucial mx300 275gb), installed windows on it, and still happening.

I've tried updating bios, video card drivers (GTx960m), disabling Fast boot in bios, updating drivers, etc. Nothing works

It would literally take a technical genius to help me out with this one. Nothing on the web has worked so far.

Highly unusual indeed... My first thought is something wrong with the gpu but it doesn't look like any problem I've seen before and the fact that rebooting helps is more than a little odd.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
